Overcoming Injuries
I sustained a serious neck injury in the summer of 2002 while performing at a water ramp show in Lake Placid. That crash was the greatest hurdle I’ve ever had to overcome, it changed me forever. Then this past season I had another serious fall while competing at Mt. Gabriel, I suffered a concussion, a compression fracture in my back and bruised ribs, but I came back to finish 3rd at the World Championships only six weeks later, it was one of my proudest moments

I always wear a t-shirt that reads “Let the Wookie Win.” I received it as a get-well gift after I broke my neck in 2002
