Expectations are high as the team had a very
successful 2007/08 season winning the coveted FIS Nations’
Cup for the fourth time in five years. With the Vancouver
2010 Olympic Winter Games only a year and a half away, and
with the 2009 FIS World Championships being held in Japan
next March, the stakes are high for all the athletes next
season.
The CFSA is also starting to look ahead to the next Olympic
cycle and the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia with the
announcement of a Project 2014 roster of mogul athletes. Recruitment
is also being done to follow-up on the very successfully Jump
2010 program in Aerials that has developed a group of athletes
to the point where they will be challenging for spots on the
team for Vancouver.
